The peak performance logo was a combination of ideas from both Abe and I. He wanted to demonstrate some edge but also finesse. In training for sports, it is more than just lifting weights. It is a complete package of sport specific training. After many different looks and examples, we were able to find the right mixture for the look of the logo. The font was chosen to show the demand of what it takes to be healthy and work hard. And, to show the over all versatility of not only a workout, but in Abe Gonzalez as well, the running motion was then formed behind the words of P2 Strength. When having a logo for your company, you want it to be able to simply display the ideal of who you are and what you represent in your business. In the end, the colors chosen finish off the true value of what P2 Strength represents.
After playing professional baseball for just over 18 years, the retirement age comes early. I am on to a new phase in life. Working with Abe Gonzalez on this logo allowed me to spark a new passion. I have always enjoyed creating. I have been drawing since I was a kid. Over that time, I have been able to teach myself by reading books and trying different mediums. The joy I receive from finishing a drawing is at the level of getting a big league hit! Much of my down time while playing was absorbed by drawing either teammates or admired opponents for my own special autograph collection. I have been able to have the likes of Joe Torre to Ray Allen be a part of my collection. The portraits I have created have ranged from pencil, colored pencil, paint and paper cutout.
